CREATIVE & PERFORMING ARTS
ON-LINE GALLERY
This page is regularly updated ...
The Creative & Performing Arts are a major specialism and strength at Phoenix Rising:MK and we are fortunate to have some extremely talented individuals in our groups.
We provide opportunities for our creative group members to benefit from exhibiting & performing in public venues in just the same way that any other talented & enterprising creative person can.
The bulk of any income raised goes either directly to the individual artists or back into the organisation to support and sustain it.
Group members produce work in a variety of media including painting, drawing, photography, three-dimensional constructions and sculptures, decorated ceramics and decorated and up-cycled furniture.
We hold a public art exhibition every year where group members showcase their work. Past venues have included
Gallery 200 @ University Centre:M.K.,
The Event Space at M.K. Central Library
The New Gallery at M.K. Museum.
We also stage public performances of musical & theatrical productions in a professional theatre venue.
For Summer 2023, we are planning our most ambitious public exhibition event yet. We will take over Middleton Hall, thecentre:mk for a whole week with our Phoenix Rising Festival of Arts, showcasing the amazing skills, talents and fantastic positive contribution that our group members and anyone with support needs can make to our communities!

PERFORMING ARTS
The Performing Arts are a major strength at Phoenix Rising.
Group members have the opportunity to showcase their talents in public performances on stage in a professional standard theatre as well as at other public venues.
Our Pantomime production of 'Aladdin', our musical theatre production 'A Night at The Musicals' and our Fashion Show are just a few examples of what we have staged recently.

photography
The group members who made the pictures had very little ‘creative interference’ from the staff who work with them other than to show them how to use the camera and then to support them in following their own visual interests. Other than that the pictures are entirely ‘all their own work.’ Quite a few of the pictures, in particular the photographs may suggest an underlying message to the viewer whilst others reflect the personality behind the camera or a great sense of visual fun.
Photographs are available for purchase as framed or unframed inkjet prints or prints on stretched canvas. Sizes available from A3 (297 x 420 mm) up to A1 (594 x 841 mm) depending on dimensions and format of individual image. Prices range from £20 up to £90.
